The 6x6 Collaborative Exhibit is a creative, community-building art initiative where each participant contributes a 6x6-inch artwork. Individually, each piece reflects a unique artistic voice. Together, the panels form a unified grid that creates a bold, cohesive, and professional gallery-style installation.
Originally launched in 2014, the NAHS 6x6 Collaborative has grown into a multi-school, multi-community exhibition that celebrates creativity, connection, and shared artistic vision. The project continues to expand each year, with works showcased in partnership with respected arts organizations and gallery spaces, including the Heckscher Museum of Art and The Firefly Artists Gallery.
The strength of the 6x6 Collaborative format lies in its simplicity and impact:
-
Uniform sizing creates a clean, cohesive visual experience
-
Individual creativity is highlighted within a shared structure
-
Custom Designed and manufactured Grid-based installation mirrors the look and feel of a contemporary gallery
This adaptable display system is perfect not only for schools, but also for clubs, nonprofits, businesses, community groups, and creative organizations seeking a polished way to present collective work. The 6x6 grid format can showcase art, writing, photography, design, or any collaborative project in a professional and engaging way.
Continuing & Expanding the Vision
The 6x6 Collaborative Exhibit thrives because of the creativity and commitment of its participants and the support of community partners. We look forward to continuing this tradition of collective expression and bringing professionally presented, community-minded exhibitions to life.
